Materials:
-Any worsted weight yarn, I used the "I love this yarn" from Hobby Lobby and it works great!
-H hook
-Yarn needle
Fpdc - Front post double crochet
This is to fit teenager through adult. The pattern could definitely be altered to fit smaller I'm sure!

Finish off and enjoy!! I always add a flower to the hat once finished.. no specific pattern, so feel free to add your own as well!
I LOVE this hat. I crocheted one for my daughter in black with a flower in school colors. Really quick to crochet, easy to follow directions too. Thank you so much for posting it! It looks adorable on! I am now back to make another, this time for me :)
ReplyDeleteThis was an absolutely WONDERFUL PATTERN! I will recommend it to my mother so that she can make herself a hat. It's easy yet beautiful! Thank you so much for this pattern!
ReplyDeleteLove the look of this hat! Can't wait to make it.

ReplyDeleteTHanks for sharing this pattern. Going to make it for a friend of mine that is going thru chemo. I love the look of this hat and can't wait to get started!!
ReplyDeleteSo glad to hear everyone likes it!
ReplyDeleteMade this last night! Looks great, thanks for the pattern!
ReplyDeleteThe first time I tried this pattern I was a little confused (as a beginner). I literally fpdc in the very next dc, instead of the one in the middle with gaps (from Row 8). The second time, I understood the pattern more clearly and I successfully finished the hat last night. I loved it! Was supposed to be for a Christmas gift, but since there are small errors (is the row where you join supposed to look like a fpdc or lay flat with the rest of the hat?), I may keep it and just make more in a variety of warm colors. The one I want to keep is in a beautiful warm-toned gold ( Autumn Maize). Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful pattern!
ReplyDeleteIt would be great if you could post how many stitches we are suppose to have at the end of each round.
ReplyDeleteI agree with the last comment! My hat looks great, but it turned out much bigger than the one you made. It turned into a really pretty slouchy hat.
ReplyDeleteI agreed with Anonymous Dec. 24th comment. I will be great to know how many stiches you should have at the end of each row.

I'm going to make it because it looks lovely but it seems to be a bit large, is it suppose to be a slouch?
